Who we are as Masons can partly be defined by what we do for others. The Foundation was initiated in March of 1966 at the 110th annual communication of the MW Grand Lodge of AF&AM of Kansas when M∴W∴ Richard L. Becker, under the Grand Mastership of M∴W∴ Owen E. Hodgson, made a motion to allow the MW Grand Lodge of AF&AM of Kansas to form a Masonic Foundation. The motion was passed without opposition. The Kansas Masonic Foundation became a reality with its chartering and incorporation on July 15, 1966 under the direction of M∴W∴ William E. Montgomery. Since that time the Kansas Masonic fraternity’s Foundation has grown in great proportions.
